Spend 5 to 10 minutes rolling around on the floor, stretching your body, and doing anything else to connect you with your body and prepare you to relax. Spend another 10 minutes doing the following:
- Lie on your back on the floor or on your bed
- Unfold your arms so they rest at your sides
- Relax your legs; use a bolster or rolled up blanket if that feels good
- Let your breath come and go freely
- Scan through your whole body, inviting each part to unwind and relax
