The New Year's Eve Grief Retreat is designed to be practiced from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM or serve as a New Year's Day Retreat. While this is a complete structure for your at home retreat, feel free to make modifications to the schedule as needed, and weave in your favorite practices. To prepare in advance, you will need:
- A journal and something to write with.
- A practice space that includes blankets, pillows, photos, mementos, candles, and anything else that will contribute to this sacred experience.
- A meal prepared in advance, including your favorite dessert.
- A computer/tablet/phone hooked up to good speakers to stream the guided practices.
Although this is a self-guided practice, you are not alone. Other members of Awaken will be holding their own retreats, so feel free to share your experience inside our Private Awaken Facebook Group. While I recommend not engaging with social media during the retreat itself, you may want to post your intention in advance and your integration when you are complete.
